“The sun sliced through the windshield, sealing me in light. I closed my eyes and felt the warmth on my eyelids. Sunlight traveled a long distance to reach this planet; an infinitesimal portion of that sunlight was enough to warm my eyelids. I was moved. That something as insignificant as an eyelid had its place in the workings on the universe, that the cosmic order did not overlook this momentary fact.”

So true…
February 1, 2010 by admin

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring–it was peace.” –

Nest Magic…
January 22, 2010 by admin

“I do believe in an everyday sort of magic — the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we’re alone. “

Trails…
January 15, 2010 by admin

“Every person has the power to make others happy.
Some do it simply by entering a room –
others by leaving the room.
Some individuals leave trails of gloom;
others, trails of joy.
Some leave trails of hate and bitterness;
others, trails of love and harmony.
Some leave trails of cynicism and pessimism;
others trails of faith and optimism.
Some leave trails of criticism and resignation;
others trails of gratitude and hope.
What kind of trails do you leave?”

Early Winter Light…
December 10, 2009 by admin

“Many of the phenomena of Winter are suggestive of an inexpressible tenderness and fragile delicacy. We are accustomed to hear this king described as a rude and boisterous tyrant; but with the gentleness of a lover he adorns the tresses of Summer”

Waiting…

You all been here before.. while your in a public restroom, usually a gas station or bar you see all sorts of  reading material scrawled on the walls and or doors. Usually it’s nothing more then trashy words or bad graffiti. Sometimes however there are little bits of wisdom.. such as this one. This was in a bathroom at a gas station in New Hampshire while on my way down to PA to get Hayley.

A lesson in flying…
December 3, 2009 by admin

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
~Albert Einstein ~

I was in Boston Gardens walking around when this was taken. There were so many pigeons ..everywhere.. I loved it when they flew all at once. I could feel the breeze from the flutter of their wings and hear the subtle  music made by their feathers. Other people were yelling at them and ducking away in disgust. I found myself being pulled towards the center of them.. having them surround me while they are flying around. I haven’t been in the moment like that for a long time and it just happened naturally and on its own. I guess its better to come across them then to force those moments..

Hope you find yours.

Todays thought…
November 16, 2009 by admin

“Fear is the energy which contracts, closes down, draws in, runs, hides, hoards, harms.
Love is the energy which expands, opens up, sends out, stays, reveals, shares, heals.
Fear wraps our bodies in clothing, love allows us to stand naked. Fear clings to and clutches all that we have, love gives all that we have away. Fear holds close, love holds dear, fear grasps, love lets go, fear rankles, love soothes, fear attacks, love mends.

Every human thought, word or deed is based on one emotion or the other. You have no choice about this because there is nothing else from which to choose, but you have free choice about which of these to select”

Conversations with God ~ Neale Donald Walsh
