Where ever I go Beansy has to have me in his line of vision. This includes the kitchen. He could as most normal dogs do watch me from the floor but no.. he has to sit in this chair and watch me. It’s pretty cute..
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring–it was peace.” –

This is a pottery piece made by my daughter about 10 years ago. She made it after a dog we had named Cecil. Cecil and I were together for 3 years before Hayley was born. He went everywhere with me and was my “baby” before Hayley came along. He was also extremely protective of me so I was pretty nervous that when she was born he would not take too kindly to not having my complete attention and afffections. Well.. he not only proved to be quite the protective dog to myself but he was also very protective to her. When she got to big to fit in her snuggly I would put her in a stroller. I would take her and Cecil out for a walk. He would always walk on the side that people would be most on. If we stopped and someone came near the stroller he would put himself inbetween them and hayley. He didn’t growl or snarl. He was just there. Protecting. I loved it.. he was a great dog for that and many many other reasons and I’m so glad that Hayley had the forethought to create this wonderful homage to him.
I keep it on my desk at work and it will always bring a smile to my face when I look over at it.

I”ve decided to upload one image a day in the spirit of Christmas. It will be the 12 days of Christmas. I may upload other images in between but the goal or dare I say challenge is to upload at least one per day. I’ve seen other people on flickr do this for many types of projects. Figured starting with something small such as 12 days would be good..
So.. here is day 1 of 12.. Beansy not looking very happy in the Santa hat. I had to take quite a few as he would not sit still. I realized his eyes are not in focus. only his nose.. ah well..
Happy Monday..

Well hello.. hopefully some of you have come over from my other wordpress blog. This is the new and improved blog and my portfolio website. Itis now all in one.. much, much easier for myself to manage and organize. I’m very excited to continue to update and tweak it up or down if need be. I am going to try to figure out a way to add my other blog posts on here.. if not this will be the start of a nice fresh one.. and I’ll just redirect from the other one.
So I knew I would be doing this today and due to that as well as being excited about shooting the wedding Saturday I was up bright and early full of energy and vision. I was even able to take some more beautiful dawn images as seen here.. it was very beautiful…

and here is one of Sara.. doing a head shake.. was taken by accident but I think it looks pretty cool.. one of those happy accidents.

Ok.. so please tell me what you think.. good or bad.. would love to hear or read your feedback.
