Happy Monday!
So I was thinking about my 365 photo project photo blog and at first I thought I would just use this blog and mix it in with my regular posts. However I realized that for me at least.. it was getting a bit much. I really wanted to separate the two. I tried to see if I could have two blogs on my website here but alas.. no.. it is not possible. So.. although I really didn’t want yet another website I decided to set one up for the project. I feel better now and while its nice to keep everything all in one place this other site isn’t too far away.. there is a link to it on the top right here and I will occasionally put links into my posts just to remind. It feels so much more organized to keep the two blogs separate. Hopefully you will go visit it from time to time.. again because it started with flickr and will continue to upload there I will always have a slide show to view here..
ok.. now I can start posting other images and words about anything I want.. will post again later..

Today has been a very trying day. For many reasons.. I only took a couple of pictures but I lucked out as this describes how I feel. The good news is that tomorrow is another day that holds full of promise.

I had to sleep overnight at work last night due to us getting a nasty snowstorm and since I have an hours drive and had to be back in the morning decided it was best to stay at work.
Went to a local coffee shop for my caffeine fix. Not sure I will get out again before I leave at 9:00 tonight so this will have to suffice for my pic of the day.

Hayley and her boyfriend made this wonderful snowman yesterday which was the start of a 3 day snow fall fest we are getting here in central Maine.
I took this picture while walking down the driveway to get to my car this morning. I only had my P&S on me which I always keep in my bag in case I don’t have my DSLR. I had to remember to bring the cord to plug the camera into my work PC and then edit it on flickr using picnik. It’s nice to have possibly come up with a way to do this while working.
One of the concerns for me with doing a 365 project is knowing I have to take a photo every day and post it. Now on the days I’m not working this isn’t a problem and I can probably take an image that I really like and feel worthy of posting. However, on my work days I know that in all likely hood that will not happen as much. Therefore I’ve sort of resigned myself to not get caught up in only posting what I think are my best images only. This project for me is really about trying to capture a moment in my daily life. Not every image I post has to be a masterpiece (not that I think any are but you get the gist). I just want to have the discpline to post everyday and try to write about that moment in time that I chose to save.
This image is one of those times..

So.. although my 12 days of Christmas project didn’t pan out as I had hoped I will challenge myself this New year to a 365 project with Shutter Sisters on flickr. I will try to stay away from themes other then to show aspects of my life on a daily basis. As it goes on I may make it more interesting by picking themes.. I’ll take as it comes. While the goal is to take a picture daily and then upload it daily there will be times due to my 14 hour days work days when I will have to post a backup image taken not on that day but within the last few days. I’ll be lucky to be able to remember to post everyday..lol
Today’s image show my snowblower which will be getting alot of use over the next couple of days since we are getting slammed by snow storms.. today is one of my 14 hour days but I took this just after daybreak but before I had to drive to work..
