These are from last week here in Hallowell.. I was checking out my rented lenses again..
My.. My.. what a busy few days it has been. I haven’t even been able to play much with my website or blog. For once I have been not on the computer for a good amount of time. It’s been kind of nice but I’m ready to get back in the saddle.. or should I say my rocking chair which is what I use to sit in when I’m sitting here in my sitting room typing this.
This past Saturday I shot my first wedding and while I was nervous at first it quickly dissipated. Overall the wedding shoot when really well. The wedding and reception themselves went beautifully and was a lot of fun. The couple are awesome and I felt honored to be able to capture their vows of commitment to one another. I will post some in a couple of weeks. I may just start offering to shoot intimate weddings in natural light if I like how these came out.. which from just the uploads, look pretty cool. I’m very excited to edit them!
Sunday was a day of rest and boy did I need it after last week..
Yesterday I decided to take the screens out and put in the storm windows in preparation for turning on the heat for the first time. I always love to hear and smell the oil coming on, always gives me a warm cozy feeling even if it does cost money.
So here I am today.. ready and eager to edit the wedding photos. I need to frame my prints for a show this weekend at Coffee by Design and write this blog post and do other things I’ve been putting off. I can’t see much time in the near future for quiet time but it’s a good thing. Means I have work to do and hopefully all this current work will lead to more..
